Job Description
  • Assist in project setups and people assignments for cost and time tracking purposes
  • Assist with travel policy ensuring adherence to Company Guidelines
  • Assist in preparing company’s financial statements, general ledger, payroll, tax compliance, DCAA reporting, and various special analysis as required/requested
  • Oversee accounts payable and credit card processing
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure company transactions are performed within GAAP and DCAA compliance
  • Ensure all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented
  • Prepare month/quarter/year end entries and assist in the close-out process
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting reviews and reconciliations
  • Ensure proper accounting and recording of company transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports and costing audits, reviewing to ensure cost data is allocated correctly
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Audit financial documents, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments and returns
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support third party audits and outside accounting firm requests
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Security:
  • Experience working with Federal Government Contracting / Compliance preferred
  • Experience with treatment of multiple locations, cost centers, multiple companies
  • CPA certification a plus
  • Works independently with strong work ethic and dedication to mission
  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
  • 8+ years of experience (experience is waiver eligible with additional school beyond required degree)
  • Master’s Degree a plus
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Experience:
  • Experience with Accounting software and multiple software support packages
  • Has good organizational and time management abilities
