About Our Company
- Review annual tax returns, as prepared by the LFA Tax Team, and present to VCFO/FM clients before filing
- Join the CEO on sales calls and offer insights on client onboarding
- Calculate and file estimated taxes quarterly
- Carry out recurring client activities with assistance from our Staff Accountant, including bookkeeping, budgeting, generating monthly financial statements, managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing
- Develop and suggest necessary policies and procedures
- Own and manage the client roster, overseeing all interactions and relationships
- Serve as the principal point of contact for VCFO/FM clients, addressing inquiries and requests, and emphasizing direct and personalized client interactions
- Provide high-level customer service, ensuring a seamless client experience with quick responses to inquiries and crafting tailored solutions
- Review and interpret financial reports and key performance indicators to make recommendations aligned with client business objectives and challenges, translating financial data into understandable insights
- Lead the onboarding process for new VCFO/FM clients, conduct initial meetings, and identify necessary cleanups or issues
- Communicate with clients and colleagues via various channels, ensuring seamless and responsive communication
- Conduct weekly reviews of all bank and credit card transactions, sending weekly emails to clients for clarifications, cash position, accounting activities, and upcoming priorities
- Contribute to decisions about systems and processes at a high level
- Develop strategies for the client's future business growth based on the information collected for them
- Address client questions, concerns, and financial business needs by offering comprehensive and customized support
- Maintain current financial records to provide clients with accurate advice on best practices and future steps
- Proficiency in ProConnect, LastPass, Google Drive, Slack, TaxDome, Keeper, and ClickUp is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on client interaction
- At least two years of experience in accounting or tax
- Familiarity with accounting software (preferably QuickBooks)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- CPA license is preferred but not required
- An innovative and detail-oriented mindset
- Prior experience with tax software for individual and small business returns is desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- This is a full-time remote position that requires you to be available from 10 AM to 3 PM for client communication, collaboration with the team, and meetings
- The Account Manager position is primarily a digital role involving intellectual work, with no significant physical demands
