TheDepartment of Pathology and Anatomical Sciencesat the University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking an academically and research-oriented Neuroscientist.


The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences (PAS) is seeking to expand the scope of its research program, specifically the research related to neurodegenerative diseases.PAS intends to hire a neuroscientist with a research focus on one or more of the common neurodegenerative diseases:


  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
  • Diffuse Lewy Body Disease
  • Fronto-Temporal Degenerations
  • Parkinson’s Disease


Preferably with funded or fundable projectsregarding the basic biology or innovative therapies for these devastating disorders. These topics are particularly timely in terms of the newly established Next Gen Precision Health and will complement or expand research in a number of areas including Pathology, Neurology, and Radiology, as well as match up with similar research interests in the College of Veterinary Medicine.


This position will be a tenure track/tenured position with a preference on hiring an individual with a strong track record of funding.This individual will also be expected to take on teaching roles within the School of Medicine.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent
