Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Graphic Artist Trainee for our Anniston, AL facility.

• Must know, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and understand working safely is a condition of employment
• Ability to follow written instructions, customer instructions, and print orders
• Inspect artwork, including digital artwork, film, negatives, and proofs for accuracy. Ensure that all company and/or customer order quality checks, tests, and procedures are carried out
• Print and fold ink jet proofs to order specifications
• Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality System requirements (SQF) are in compliance
• Proofreading and comparison of printout to order and sample
• Quality, quantity, safety of personnel and equipment. Comprehends and follows Senior Lead Artist’s instructions
• Ability to build templates for all bag styles

Functional Requirements

• Maintain quotas and production standards
• Must be able to work effectively with crew, promoting a team environment

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have working knowledge of MacIntosh computer systems, including understanding of network proofing and file output.

• Demonstrate, follow and practice all safety rules, policies, practices and practices at all times
• Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met
• Effectively operate a MacIntosh computer, and have understanding of network proofing and file output
• Use appropriate tools to properly layout print and packaging for both digital and conventional applications
• Read and understand a manufacturing order
• Must work effectively as a team player and demonstrate and promote team spirit
