Position description
The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for a part-time assistant adjunct position in Chinese culture studies starting Fall 2023.
Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. degree by August 2023 in one or more of the following: Chinese language; Chinese culture; education; or other related areas. Three years or more of experience in teaching Chinese culture studies courses at the college level is desirable.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 1. The salary range for this position is $74,600 - $83,100. “Off-scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
