SUPERVISOR, SECURITY OPERATIONS CENTER - 250 DAY- OPEN UNTIL FILLED

Security incident management & monitoring: Ability to provide adequate response to security incidents/events

Security policy awareness & implementation: Knowledge of security policy concepts and ability to apply to strategic and/or practical situations

Prior working experience within the UN system, an international organization, or an international INGO is desirable.

Experience with VHF radio and web-based communications is an asset.

The primary responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Keeping detailed reports on all analysis activity, documented in the case management tool to validate process adherence

4+ years of experience working as a SOC Analyst or Security Operations Center experience, ideally at the L1 or L2 level

Knowledge of industry recognized security and analysis frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Kill Chain, Diamond Model, NIST Incident Response, etc.)

Experience with host-based and network-based forensics tools and analysis

Experience working with Splunk or other SIEM experience for creating alerts, reports, dashboards, etc.

Strong customer service experience, working with users over the phone, via email, and in-person

Location: Long Island City, NY(Day 1 onsite) Later 3 days remote option

Experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related field.

Experience with Containerization technologies and DevOps Tools

Experience with NYC agencies is preferred.

Experience with Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, LXC, Rocket)

Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of incidents

Information security certifications preferred but not required (SSCP, Security+, etc.)

Experience with SIEM technology to review and monitor logs and alerts

Identifies and notifies management of vacant security posts.

Provides periodic reports to management regarding site activities, irregularities, and identifying needed action.

Knowledge of critical infrastructure security requirements and protocols.

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus two (2) years of experience providing security services in Security Operation Center.

Monitors welfare of security personnel working after-hours and remote assignments.

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances.
