Visit Parks to observe Park Rangers on duty and confer with Park Managers on the Park Ranger Program

Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Resource management experience in trail maintenance and/or habitat restoration.

Resource management, protection, habitat restoration, and use of resource-based, open space, or regional parks.

Forestry and/or fire management work in a park, recreation, or conservation area.

Associate’s Degree or equivalent education (i.e., minimum completed units = 60 semester/90 quarter).

Writing, presenting, or conducting educational programs, natural, historic, or cultural interpretive programs.

Knowledge of regional, natural, and cultural history.

Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;

Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;

Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or

Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree

Conducts inventory of tools, small equipment and supplies and submits recommendations to supervisor for ordering these materials;

Answers patron inquiries concerning park information and resolves patron complaints in the field;

Operates light trucks, dump and garbage trucks, snowplows, passenger vehicles, tractors, ride-on mowers and other equipment as required;

Loads, moves, carries or unloads materials of varying weights and sizes as necessary;

Operate chain saw; willing to receive “Game of Logging 1, 2, & 3”, First Aid, CPR and AED training;

Assists in coordinating and executing recreation events conducted at the park;

4-year college or university degree in business, retail management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to use good judgment and make strong independent decisions.

Excellent Skills in operating personal computers, POS systems, and various software packages including MS office.

Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statement and store KPIs to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying size.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The pay rate is $18.00

Experience in resource protection, visitor services, outdoor education and/or emergency services preferred;

Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Park Management/Administration, Natural Resources, Environmental Sciences or related fields preferred;

Provides visitor services which include education and information regarding various topics such as recreational opportunities and safety;

Occasional exposure to chemicals, hazardous vegetation (poison ivy, etc.) and other hazards (animals, bees, etc.) when performing their responsibilities;

Observes, collects and reports information that affects division facilities and users;

Educates the public about all division Rules and Regulations and enforces as needed;

Adhere to all State laws regarding pouring, consumption and under age selling and serving laws.

Act as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers

Seamlessly fill customer orders throughout the Fulfillment Center in a fast-paced environment.

Ensure the quality of the customer orders within the inbound, outbound, and dispatch operational work areas.

Receive and transfer goods from suppliers into totes

Pick and pack customer orders in an ambient, chill, or freezer environment

Assist in the loading or moving process of customer orders throughout the Fulfillment Center

Notify manager of stock discrepancies and vehicle maintenance need

Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet requirements of company Vehicle Policy.

Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Basic math, writing and computer skills.

Follow all policy, procedures and service standards.

Safely drive and maneuver a large delivery truck.
