Nurse Assistant Trainee Surgical Specialties Jobs

2 years of work experience, with increased responsibility as a circulating or surgical RN in plastic surgery

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional Certification

Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Current State Registered Nurse License

Washington, DC 20037: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Certification(s): Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.

Ability to apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology; microbiology, pharmacology, and other related medical terminology.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job:

Complete one year at the Trainee level.

Demonstrates competency with situational awareness preoperatively and intraoperatively.

Proven U.S. based experience as a licensed RN working in an acute care environment | Preferably +3years

Profficient charting and other computer skills.

Proven experience as a registered nurse

Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

BSN - Required for many of our partnering health systems, preferred by a few

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

RN clinical outpatient or ambulatory care experience

Experience in Ambulatory Care Setting

2-3 years of RN in critical care experience

Surgical intensive care experience including open-heart surgery

1 year pediatric Clinical Assistant or related experience.

Good communication skills and the ability to work on a team.

Working in our Fegan 6 Medical Programs, which includes allergy/immunology, dermatology, rheumatology and hematology.

Working in a fast-paced environment.

Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.

Scheduling of patients, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures.
