Lead Gameplay Programmer Jobs

Prior experience with credits on at least one commercially released title using Unity

Excellent problem-solving, performance analysis, and debugging skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering

Obsidian is looking for an experienced Unity Programmer to join our team of talented RPG developers.

Work closely with designers and artists on the implementation of gameplay systems

Working within existing gameplay systems to construct new game experiences from the ground up

Thinking creatively and critically to expand user experiences into new virtual reality medium

At least 3 years of game industry experience

Experienced shipping a Console, PC or VR game

Experienced working with Unreal 4

Experienced with AI Systems and Character Based Physics

C/C++ experience with understanding of multi-threaded programming techniques

Experience building games as a network-oriented gameplay engineer for PlayStation, Xbox, or PC

Experience with off-the-shelf anti-cheat products, such as Easy Anti-Cheat or Battleye

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work as a part of a team

remotely within the continental US

Collaborate with other engineers to improve the game’s network replication

Spearhead development of innovative gameplay experiences

Directly partner with engineers to help grow their technical skills in support of their career objectives

10+ years of experience working in the game industry

Expert level C++, supported by solid scripting skills in Python, Lua, C# or other

Experience with full-stack development and GAAS
