Selects and is responsible for the training, supervision, and evaluation of all departmental staff.
Makes Community Development Department budget recommendations and administers the expenditure of funds.

The Director of Community Development will be responsible for developing and implementing plans for economic development, housing, transportation, public safety, and other community services. The Director of Community Development will also be responsible for overseeing the development of public infrastructure, such as roads, parks, and other public facilities.
