Overview A Child Development Specialist is a professional who works with children and families to promote healthy development and well-being. Detailed Job Description A Child Development Specialist is responsible for providing support and guidance to children and families to promote healthy development and well-being. They assess the needs of children and families, develop individualized plans to meet those needs, and provide resources and support to help children reach their full potential. They may work with children of all ages, from infants to adolescents, and may specialize in a particular area such as early childhood development, mental health, or special education. They may also provide counseling and support to parents and caregivers. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of child development and psychology

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in child development, psychology, or a related field
• Master’s degree in child development, psychology, or a related field preferred
• Certification or licensure in child development or a related field may be required
