Career Success Coach Jobs

Proven experience using relevant technology and leading group sessions online with Zoom, Slack, Google Suite, and other learning management systems.

3+ years of professional experience in education, social work, career coaching, or counseling.

Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills, including active listening, compassion, and clear communication.

Coach 3-6 cohorts of learners a year through the training, field-based externship, and job placement process of the Accelerate U program.

Facilitate and teach the cohort coaching sessions, using the Accelerate U coaching curriculum once a week to each cohort.

Conduct monthly individual check-ins with each learner to provide individualized support as they complete the program.

This is a remote position.

Direct experience assisting students; additional years of related experience.

Knowledge of and willingness to explore new technologies and teaching practices that would benefit students and programs;

Continue to develop professional skills and remain current in subject matter knowledge.

Ability to effectively work with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals;

Knowledge of and commitment to the California community college mission.

Assign final grades for courses as required by District policy, administrative procedures, California Education Code, and Title 5.

Meet all flex requirements as described in the faculty collective bargaining agreement.

Familiarity with the community college experience as a student, or staff.

Experience incorporating technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.

Additional qualifications may be requested, as relevant to the academic department.

One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).

Documents career preparedness checklists for each student served to ensure progression toward post-graduation goals

Skills, education, and experience in areas employers require and prefer, including skills and experience needed for growth occupations in key industries

Teaches at least one section of the EMPL 1000, Employability Skills Course

Bachelor's degree in a related field and Two (2) years of related work experience.

Perform career assessments and unpack results to ensure student awareness of and alignment with ATC programs and career endeavors

Annotates student engagements and career coaching notes to ensure continuity of services

Documents career preparedness checklists for each student served to ensure progression toward post-graduation goals
