Overview AWS Security Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based applications and services. They must have a deep understanding of AWS security best practices and be able to develop and maintain secure cloud environments. Detailed Job Description AWS Security Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud-based applications and services. They must have a deep understanding of AWS security best practices and be able to develop and maintain secure cloud environments. They must also be able to identify and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities. AWS Security Engineers must be able to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards. They must also be able to monitor and audit security systems and processes. Job Skills Required
• Expertise in AWS security best practices
• Knowledge of security protocols, encryption technologies, and authentication methods
• Experience with security tools such as CloudTrail, Config, and Inspector
• Ability to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
• Ability to identify and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT security
• AWS Certified Security Specialty certification
• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications
