Detailed Job Description Animal Control Officers are responsible for enforcing laws and regulations related to the care and control of animals. They investigate reports of animal cruelty, capture and impound stray animals, and educate the public on animal care and safety. They may also investigate and prosecute animal-related crimes, such as dog fighting and animal hoarding. Animal Control Officers may also be responsible for providing humane euthanasia services, as well as providing medical care and rehabilitation to injured or sick animals. Job Skills Required
