Scientist – Analytical Chemist Jobs in New York

Demonstrated instrumentation skill and hands-on experience in ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Laser Ablation.

Extensive hands-on experience in wet chemistry, sample preparation and familiarity with general chemical laboratory practices.

Strong interpersonal, leadership and written and verbal communication skills in a diverse, global team environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage sample queue, and perform multiple, concurrent tasks.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products like Excel and Powerpoint.

MS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or other Chemistry-related discipline and 7+ years relevant experience.

- Hands-on experience working with plasma reactor systems or sub-atmospheric plasma systems.

- Must have excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.

- Willingness to take initiative and follow-through, with good organizational skills and attention to detail.

BS degree with 6 or MS degree with 4 years relevant experience

Working knowledge of applicable industry test standards, relevant regulatory guidance, Design Controls and Product Development Process

Experience in using Mass spectrometry (LC/MS) for large biomolecules and MS related software (Xcalibur, BioPharma Finder, MassLynx, Protein Metrics)

May assist in qualification and validation of methods

Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

Experience in HPLC or UPLC methods strongly preferred

Gathers and processes raw data

Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in analytical chemistry or in a materials lab

Knowledgeable in distribution transformers, switchgear, power capacitors, and other power distribution products

Knowledgeable in electrical insulating liquid and solid chemistry

Working knowledge of electrical testing, procedures, and power system products

Perform root cause analysis and provide accurate, creative, and timely solutions

Identify contamination with analytical tools, such as FTIR, GC, Thermal analysis, etc.
