Tech Assistant

The Tech Assistant is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the patient registration.


What You'll Do


  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Answer telephones and relay messages
  • Demonstrate competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to customer populations and departmental services
  • Prepare exam rooms
  • Prepare patients for exams by assisting with dressing and undressing, positioning patients, and escorting them to and from the exam rooms
  • Manage the processes for check-in, check-out, and insurance verification
  • Interact compassionately and effectively with people who range from healthy to critically ill
  • Inform patients of costs for care being provided and guide them to appropriate resources for further information
  • Greet visitors and patients
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures; May be required to start IVs, dependent on modality

What We Need from You:


  • High school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience required
  • Dress Attire: Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, and frequent standing and walking
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and the public and establish good working relationships with both internal and external customers
