OVERVIEW:
The People function at Guided by Good comprises several different specialties and focuses: talent (HR), talent acquisition (recruiting), HRIS and benefits.
Talent (HR) is responsible for the people experience and people strategy as it relates to onboarding, career development, employee engagement, retention, employee relations and some of the more technical sides of Human Resources. The primary focus of the talent specialist is to assist the talent and people operations function across 22squared and Trade School to ensure an optimal people experience .
While Guided by Good is a remote-friendly workplace, this position may require a hybrid work schedule, with some time spent onsite at the Atlanta, GA office location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generalist functions:
- Provide HR generalist support to Talent Manager and Director
- Coordinate logistics for onboarding and off-boarding including temporary workers
- Prepare recognition letters for merits and promotions for review
- Complete employment verifications
- Assist with generating and preparing reports as requested
Onboarding:
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Prepare and send welcome emails (HR newsletters)
- Schedule orientations for new hires and be the new hire’s primary point of contact up to start
- Coordinate new hire welcome kits
- Deploy and collect new hire paperwork and coordinate with payroll
Benefits and Wellness:
- Assist new hires through benefits enrollment
- Partner with payroll on front-end benefits changes
- Process reimbursement forms
- Provide primary level support on benefits related questions
Training and Development:
- Coordinate logistics and facilitation of training programs
- Provide primary research assistance on learning and development initiatives
Compliance:
- Periodically audit files for accuracy, manage termed employee files
- Create and maintain personnel files
- Support Talent Manager with compliance procedures such as 3rd party tools
- Assist with annual internal and external audits in coordinating requested documentation
Off-boarding:
- Coordinate logistics for onboarding including completing exit processes
- Schedule exit meetings and conduct exit interviews as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrate impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of UKG or other payroll platform, is a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of fundamental HR laws preferred, but not required
- Possess excellent attention to detail
- Self-starter with proactive approach to tasks and projects
- Ability to act with discretion and protect confidential information/records
- 1-2 years of administrative or Human Resources experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, matrixed and shared service environment
