Systems Support Engineer
Job Summary:
The System Support Engineer position is expected to perform a variety of niche and complex activities involved in the installation, configuration, set-up, operations, modification and repair of computer, automated office, telecommunications and multi-media equipment, systems and related hardware and software for their location. They will handle requests from on-site users and for systems around the property. This role will be collaborating with the other technology groups across Disney as well as the resort leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Track and document all setup/configurations of systems, issue resolutions and project support
- Ensure all PCI, Security and Network corporate policies and procedures are followed
- Resort TVs
- CCTV, POS, Servers, UPS, Guest room door locks, Front desk systems, music system
Perform system administration and maintenance tasks including:
Management of software maintenance/updates (Windows, Office, etc.)
Management of virus protection and end point protection
- Management of ordering needed IT supplies (Traka security loops, blank Visi keys, fobs, cord control ties, etc.)
Provide technical support for all resort systems including but not limited to:
CCTV, POS, Servers, UPS, Guest room door locks, Front desk systems, music system
- Manage VLANs and servers
- Provide support for Workstations and printers
- Support Entry card access (Beach House, resort main entry, future Big Dipper gates) and programming as well as any future card access to cast areas
- Office Moves
- Provide direct support of frontline Cast for access and hardware/software requests (Traka accesses, Visi Online, key fobs, etc.)
- Lan Closet
- Ensure all areas of the resort are supported with proper computer systems.
- Audio System
- Cable management
- Service All business applications
- Management of software maintenance/updates (Windows, Office, etc.)
Lead projects including but not limited to:
Cable management
Office Moves
CCTV Cameras
Digital Signate (Front Desk)
Provide infrastructure support for following:
Phone Room
Lan Closet
Server Room
Manage VLANs and servers
Guest WIFI and Access Points
Resort TVs
Audio System
Patch Panel /Port management
- Phone Room
- Maintenance of resort time clocks
- Patch Panel /Port management
- Coordination of timely removal to Walt Disney World of outdated hardware to prevent accumulation on property
- Maintain and support LAN drops
- Manage time and advance issues as needed
- Digital Signate (Front Desk)
- Server Room
- General network and user administration tasks
- Management of virus protection and end point protection
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be available to be on call for after hours and weekends as needed
- Provide infrastructure support for following:
- Guest WIFI and Access Points
- CCTV Cameras
Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow module suite and reporting capabilities
- Outstanding ability to interact and connect with all levels of end users
- 5+ years of experience as support analyst/engineer including image creation/build, OS installation/troubleshooting.
- Initiative and ability to research problems independently and find root causes
- Consistent track record of providing end user IT services.
- Flexibility and agility while working on multiple tasks.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or relevant technical subject area and/or relevant experience
- Experience supporting voice/data infrastructure.
- Outstanding ability to organize and prioritize technical services requests
- Focused on quality, organized, committed to continual improvement
- Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer training, and written documentation
- Outstanding ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Excellent technical, analytical, problem resolution, interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding ability to diagnose technical problems and quickly find solutions with very little direction/ interaction.
Licenses / Training
Apple Certified, MCSE, CCNA, ITIL
The hiring range for this position in South Carolina is $ $88,970.00 to $119,350.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
