Are you looking for a fun and challenging job in a fast-paced environment? If so, we have an immediate need for a Systems Administrator Level II. You will report to the Senior Systems Manager. As an owner of IT services, you will support the cross functional needs of MX. You will be responsible to ensure IT systems supporting the business are configured correctly, securely, meet business and industry standards and will scale to meet the ongoing needs of the business.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain and support VMWare Horizon VDI Pools
  • Password management, identity governance and authentication policies and processes
  • Deploy, maintain, and retire Windows and Linux servers and services
  • Support the continuous improvements to our Identity and Access Management practices including
    • Password management, identity governance and authentication policies and processes
    • User provisioning between directory services and applications, services, and systems
    • Create leak monitors to detect synchronization issues between directories and services
    • Handle all directory services related Events, Incidents, Problems, & Changes.
  • Messaging (asynchronous chat)
  • Handle all directory services related Events, Incidents, Problems, & Changes.
  • Maintain backups and security tools
  • Video conferencing
  • Telephony
  • Advanced troubleshooting and support for servers and workstation issues escalated by the helpdesk
  • Maintain SSL certificates on corporate systems
  • Work on cross functional projects and initiatives
  • Support the communications technology stack for MX business operations including
    • Email
    • Calendar and event scheduling
    • Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
    • Messaging (asynchronous chat)
    • Video conferencing
    • Telephony
  • Research and propose solutions as a participant in the overall IT strategy
  • Email
  • Maintain storage including Pure arrays
  • Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Partner with Information Security on administration and compliance related solutions
  • Manage our corporate servers and workstations, including
    • Manage on-premise and co-located Microsoft domain services
    • Deploy, maintain, and retire Windows and Linux servers and services
    • Maintain and support VMWare vSphere clusters
    • Maintain and support VMWare Horizon VDI Pools
    • Maintain backups and security tools
    • Manage workstation and server endpoints with software distribution and policies
    • Advanced troubleshooting and support for servers and workstation issues escalated by the helpdesk
    • Maintain storage including Pure arrays
    • Support macOS workstations in collaboration with peers on the team
    • Maintain SSL certificates on corporate systems
  • Support macOS workstations in collaboration with peers on the team
  • Manage workstation and server endpoints with software distribution and policies
  • Implement, report on and provide evidence for Information Security controls
  • Ensure, where possible, security by design principles
  • Maintain and support VMWare vSphere clusters
  • Drive knowledge creation including KB articles and SOPs
  • Manage on-premise and co-located Microsoft domain services
  • User provisioning between directory services and applications, services, and systems
  • Keep your skills up to date on the latest trends in technology
  • Calendar and event scheduling
  • Maintain, deploy new, and manage all services, services supporting MX employees under the direction of the Sr Systems Manager and in collaboration with Systems Administrator peers
  • Create leak monitors to detect synchronization issues between directories and services
Basic Requirements:
  • 1+ years experience working with Slack and other messaging tools
  • 2+ years experience managing enterprise storage and backup solutions
  • 1+ years experience working with Zoom platform tools
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Powershell and Python
  • 2+ years experience with Google Workspace in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years working with Apple, Microsoft and Linux end user authentication solutions such as JAMF connect
  • 2+ years of training and experience with OKTA and On premise AD
  • 4+ years experience managing servers in an enterprise environment including Windows and Linux
Advanced Requirements:
  • Experience with APIs including REST, SCIM, OAUTH, SAML, OIDC and GraphQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with tracking regulator controls identified in SOC 2 Type II, PCI and others
  • Strong communication skills and team collaborative ability
  • Experience with database technologies is a plus
Work Environment:

Compensation:
The expected earnings for this role could be comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions as applicable. The base salary is $94,500 -$113,500.
This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
