Summary:
The Inventory Supply Planner is responsible for the overall enterprise end to end planning and S&OP processes. As the owner of the S&OP the inventory supply planner is responsible for coordinating Demand Plan with Sales team and translating that into Replenishment plan to achieve high level of in stock levels at customer while keeping optimal inventory in the warehouses. S&OP Planner is also responsible for coordinating with Factory Managers in confirming the POs with suppliers and facilitating the timely shipment of the same.
Responsibilities
- Drives S&OP process to support actions that meet and exceed objectives on inventory goals, In stock levels, Open to Buy and other related KPI’s
- Recommends replenishment parameter changes (e.g. safety stock, lead-times, min, max)
- The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Planner is responsible for the Sales and Operations Planning processes, resulting in balancing of demand and supply efforts for all product lines
- Responsible for the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process including meetings related to product forecasts, Replenishment plans, capacity planning, product end of life management, and new product planning and financial forecasting.
- This role with work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other functions to lead and execute best practice Sales and Operations Planning processes across the enterprise to improve customer satisfaction and enhance results for the business
- Partners closely with key stakeholders to implement business strategies, validate forecast accuracy/methodology, provide input regarding inventory strategy, and align financial and business plans with operational plans through the S&OP process
- Generates Slow Moving/ Discontinued item List issued monthly, in collaboration with the Merchandising team
- Manages inventory planning activities to meet customer needs and comply with company goals/standards
- Facilitates the S&OP process to ensure proactive communication and recommendations regarding significant current/potential supply performance problems to the appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Supply Chain
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP/ Inventory planning software
- Experience with S&OP process preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Ability to work independently and as a part of team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Concepts and analytical skills
- 7-10+ years of experience in supply chain, supply planning, demand planning, etc.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with statistical forecasting techniques preferred
