Supply Planner Jobs

Manage the creation and timely execution of an achievable, efficient supply plan to drive production to meet demand requirements while maintaining the lowest possible inventory levels and agreed upon service levels.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accountable for maintaining and managing master data required for finished good planning and production.
• Manage the potential obsolescence to minimize inventory liabilities and drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to reduce E&O.
• Collaborate and communicate with Transportation and the DC to expedite supply if needed.
• Optimizing the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels, inventory, and safety stock levels for an allocated portfolio of SKUs for which accountable.
• Implements and maintains inventory strategies for finished goods by regular review and optimization of supply planning parameters (Ex. Reorder points, safety stock, ABC categorization, MOQ)
• Measure supply planning KPIs in an effort to improve and/or maintain business objectives as it pertains to the S&OP organization.
• Own daily service management for their portfolio, conduct root cause analysis to develop action plans for continuous improvement
• Create a finished goods purchase plan to balance service and inventory.
• Conduct regular business and performance reviews related to demand and supply of low stock SKUs with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Thorough working knowledge of DRP and MPS processes in a Manufacturing or TPM environment.
• 4 year academic degree in relevant field or related job experience
• Understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Functions and Linkage
• 1-3 years of experience working within an ERP/MRP environment at an advanced level. Epicor experience a plus.
• Competent user of computerized IT systems –PowerPoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, inventory planning software packages.
• Prefer APICS exposure, CPIM certification, or related supply chain degree/certification
• Minimum of 2-4 years of planning experience in a supply chain role, ideally in a manufacturing or supplier environment in consumer goods industry.
