The archivist will participate in activities related to the GRI’s African American Art History Initiative, a program focused on the history, practices, and cultural legacies of artists of African American and African diasporic heritage, and may contribute to other scholarly, outreach, and collection management activities related to special collections.

Reporting to the Manager of Special Collections Cataloging and Processing, the archivist will work closely with colleagues throughout the Research Institute, engage with the archival profession, and may supervise interns, student workers and project staff.
