Job Description

What is 1”x1” and first produced in 1921? Cheez-It, the #1 cracker! Be part of something great by joining our Kansas City facility, where we produce over 137 million pounds of Cheez-Its a year. We have a high level of pride, as we’ve been producing great food since 1883!

As a Senior Production Supervisor in one of our state-of-the-art facilities, we want you to have a vision for tomorrow and a plan to get there! You will collaborate with many diverse people and perspectives while overseeing the daily activity and development of our operation's team. You’ll work to identify opportunities to more efficiently produce great food at a low cost – it’s about an owner’s mindset. We will lean on you to provide leadership and ensure we’re exceeding our standards for safety, food safety, quality, people development, service, and cost.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Set the Pace - Directing all activities for your assigned shift in accordance with goals, product standards, costs, budgets, manpower, and established procedures
  • Drive Change - Managing plant projects that drive and facilitate change and communicating strategic vision to employees, motivating them to work toward common plans and objectives
  • Collaborate to Win - Incorporate a culture of inclusion and continuity within all departments, while acting as a liaison between the department and other departments, or business units, in the organization
  • Impact Results - Identifying opportunities to eliminate cost and/or waste through applying Kellogg Work Systems (KWS/TPM) principles as well as driving Continuous Improvement activity throughout the facility
  • Fresh Thinking - Using problem-solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate operational issues
  • Take a New Angle - Identifying, developing, and implementing best practices for safety, quality, and equipment maintenance
  • Drive Efficiency - Performing schedule adherence monitoring and make necessary adjustments due to downtime, inventory, demand, and projection fluctuations. Additionally, manage unplanned downtime through proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • Demonstrated experience leading Continuous Improvement events, and managing projects and timelines
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage industry
  • High School Diploma or GED with substantial related proven leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and execution - with a focus on results.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing safety and/or quality programs & processes
