Job Duties:
  • Deploy Oracle RDBMS software on all nodes of the cluster, create container and pluggable databases, perform failover, load balancing and high availability.
  • Lead/Manage the Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) Database environment with responsibility for creation of databases, tuning Recovery Manager (RMan) backup processes cloning, copying and data refreshes.
  • Support development team in the design and production, test and development of databases.
  • Prepare and configure Unix/Linux server for the software installation.
  • Research any security and functional deficiencies in software, apply vendor released patches, work with vendors support to identify and address variety of issues related to the RDBMS environment.
  • Monitor relational database management system (RDBMS) components, maintenance jobs, database backups to ensure database environment is safe, secured and performing at the optimal level.
  • Deploy Oracle cluster ware of all nodes of cluster to ensure high availability of the environment.
  • Copy existing Oracle 12.2 databases into new hardware, perform RDBMS upgrade to new version.
  • Monitor and address Qlik replication in regularities with 24x7 support. Provision Snowflake IDs, create and modify Snowflake objects (such as roles, tables, views, stages and etc.).
  • Perform systems analysis and identify solutions to technical problems.
  • Support Application Support and Business Analyst teams with addressing functional and performance issues and concerns.
Requirement:
  • Or, Bachelor or its equivalent in Computer and Information Science or Information Technology with 5 years exp. as Oracle Database Administrator and using Unix or Linux platform.
  • 40 hours work week. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Salary for Senior Oracle Database Administrator: $122,000 - $130,000 per year.
