Overview:
The Senior Inclusion & Culture Consultant assists with the implementation of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital diversity strategic plan and organization-wide initiatives around culture, inclusion, and health equity. This role will lead service and support to the Employee Resource Groups and assist with all other Inclusion and Culture strategic priorities as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with leadership to establish and sustain appropriate community partnerships. Participates in community boards, commissions and/or committees, as appropriate and assigned, in representation of NCH’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic priorities.
  • Serves as coach and consultant in service and support to the Employee Resource Groups; coaches, consults with, and provides process, practices, and procedures for the organization’s employee resource groups.
  • Develops, plans, and facilitates education, training, and applicable materials as well as activities for employees and managers on how to accommodate and appreciate individual differences.
  • Develops metrics and maintains statistics necessary to monitor effectiveness of programs and notifies leadership to trends and issues and makes recommendations for action.
  • Discovers, recommends, and supports opportunities to assist NCH strategic goals primarily in diversity & inclusion, cultural competence as it impacts staff, patients, and families.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of strategy, training and development, full cycle assessment, data analytics, reporting and tracking and manage the various stakeholder groups.
  • Synthesizes qualitative and quantitative data from interviews, surveys, focus groups and others to build recommendations, set action plans, and determine trends.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Administration, or related field.

Certification: D&I Certification is preferred.

Skills:
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as representatives of various cultures in the internal and external community.
  • Analytical capabilities, surveys, project management, and data analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, as well as group and process facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, create, and implement training. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Previous experience in this area is preferred.
Experience:
  • Five years’ experience as an HR generalist or in the field of organizational development and training, diversity and inclusion preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Convincing evidence of experience in diversity management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in organization-wide initiatives, with a focus on diversity, culture, and inclusion.
