DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Business Development Team is focused on finding growth opportunities to generate long-term value for our company. Its members are responsible for multiple key objectives inside and outside the company. This team researches the IPs, products, services and operations of companies, providing consultative help where needed. This team also analyzes the business environment, including regulations and restrictions that impact us. Team members use their analytic skills to improve the company's sales and profits.

POSITION SUMMARY
AOA is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (fixed term). This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among AOA’s merchandising, licensing, sales, and new business development. Duties include comparing current sales numbers to desired quotas, delegating sales and new business development tasks among team members and meeting with upper management to discuss their progress.

This position will be on a Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week in the office
.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business
  • Performing business and financial due diligence by evaluating strategic and operational parameters for optimal growth
  • Working with upper management to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth
  • Identifying, researching, and evaluating opportunities that come up in emerging and existing markets, potential partners, and competitors
  • Identifying and evaluating emerging industry trends and articulating solid investment theses based on technological, financial, business and strategic analysis
  • Combining efforts and fostering a collaborative environment within the business as a whole
  • Establishing positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their demands
  • Developing and presenting proposals customized for each client’s specific business needs
  • Implementing the strategic analysis of new business opportunities upon research Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential new clients
  • Maintaining client activities in CRM
  • Managing virtual and in-person sales meetings
  • Translating proposals into ready-to-sign contracts
  • Ensuring excellent customer service through regular client follow up
  • Developing rapport with key decision makers
  • Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to execution and post deal management
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
  • Minimum of 5 years business experience in strategic consulting, strategic planning and/or business development
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (highly proficient with PowerPoint); comfort interacting with senior management and partner companies
  • Self-driven and motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and articulate well-reasoned recommendations
  • Proven ability to manage strategic partnerships
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once while working both independently and as part of a global team.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $130,000.00 - 150,000.00. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
