Job Description
Anthropic is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and manage key financial functions. In this role, you will take ownership of monthly financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and system implementation to build scalable processes as we continue to grow. Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including tax filings and compliance.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and reports.
  • Review and approve business expenses and corporate credit card charges.
  • Track fixed assets and calculate depreciation in our accounting system.
  • Manage the full accounts payable and receivable cycles.
  • Complete ad hoc accounting projects and analyses.
  • Maintain our balance sheet and monthly journal entries.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have …

  • Comfort with handling ambiguity and working with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing the quality of your work product.
  • Knowledge of how to implement a change and are good at predicting what the effects of it will be, and you know how to “get it right” the first time.
  • The initiative to take your knowledge of processes and systems and recommend well-considered improvements.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced startup environments.

Requirements

  • A self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • At least 5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.

Annual Salary (USD)

  • The expected salary range for this position is $180k - $250k.
