Role
The Sales and Business Development Manager (SBDM) is responsible for managing existing client relationships and driving new business across all product lines.The SBDM manages a high volume of daily inquiries, responds to commercial bids, prospects and establishes new relationships with project influencers (GCs and Architects) and provides meaningful input on company strategy to grow business across all markets.The SBDM works closely with the Director of Operations, and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial at heart, has strong technical aptitude and a friendly, outgoing personality.Comfortable discussing technical design concepts with a project architect, or backyard design with a residential client, the SBDM is curious and solution-oriented, delighting clients while delivering a best-in-class experience.
Key Accountabilities
·Responsible for achieving target sales and gross margin goals.
·Perform at a high level with minimal supervision.
·Maintain strong knowledge of all product lines offered by Structerra Outdoor.
·Work with clients to ensure the most appropriate product/solution is being proposed.
·Accurately enter order information with manufacturer and assist the Director of Operations in coordinating installations with client.
·Drive new business through outbound sales efforts, including outreach and presentations to General Contractors, Architects, Landscape Architects, and other project influencers.
·Conduct site visits as needed.
·Always maintain a professional demeanor.

·Self-starter, motivated to grow business across multiple geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
·Minimum 3-years’ experience in a sales or business development role, with a focus in design, construction, architecture/engineering, or luxury consumer durables.
·Ability to read and understand residential and commercial building plans.We will provide education to the right candidate, but the willingness and ability to learn are critical.
·Computer literate- must be able to use manufacturer design and order entry software.
·Ability to travel occasionally (20-30%).
·Experience with Google Workplace and CRM (Hubspot, Salesforce, Monday) systems preferred.
·Experience in a start-up or small business environment is strongly preferred.
Compensation
The SBDM is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position, with base compensation and commission.The position is eligible for company paid health insurance and paid time off.Base salary will depend on experience, commission structure will be shared after initial interviews.
