The Staff Accountant, Revenue, is part of the Revenue team run by the Director, Revenue. This role has responsibility to record revenue business transactions timely and appropriately, including revenue corrections and revenue reserves.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant, Revenue, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teaming with the Manager, Finance Operations and Director, Revenue on ad-hoc analysis, research or corrections
- Ensuring process documentation is up to date.
- Supporting the external audit process, as needed
- Fully owning the general ledger accounts within his/her responsibility (Gross-to-Net Accruals) and ensuring compliance with US GAAP; calculating and explaining variance analysis
- Reading and comprehending customer and partner contracts, then utilizing accounting knowledge to record the related transactions.
- Performing ad-hoc accounting research, making recommendations for proper accounting treatment and documenting transactions
Education and Experience:
- ERP system experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong PC skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Minimum of 2-3 years accounting or 1-2 years auditing experience
- Very detail oriented with strong teaming and interpersonal skills.
- Active CPA license or on CPA licensure track; working knowledge of US GAAP
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
