Looking for somebody to work in the early morning hours as a Barista and breakfast server. Be ready to help our guests wake up with serving coffee and grab & go breakfast items until full breakfast hours start. Must be independent and good at multi-tasking.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food and beverages.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light work – Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Mental Requirements:
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Must be able to work and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Essential:
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Deliver food to Restaurant Floor or Banquet Rooms.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Ensure that all tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy, and clean.
- Set-up and break down buffet.
- Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service and know the function of each job position.
- Perform opening and closing procedures and side-work duties according to station rotation assignment and established checklist.
- Keep all beverages at least ¾ full (coffee, tea, soda, water, and lemonade).
- Breakdown trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish-room according to established standards.
- Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
- Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them.
- Always comply with Everwood Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets.
- Replenish buffet items as needed.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Everwood Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Answer the telephone according to standards.
Marginal:
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
