Release Engineer (Devops) - $95-105K

In this role you will collaborate with business and client account managers, Developers, DevOps engineers, and the infrastructure team to manage client-hosted environments. You will enhance and maintain change control and release management processes within the cloud environments, AWS and OCI. You must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. A sound, working understanding of IT concepts and the delivery life cycle is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and client account managers, development leads, and the infrastructure team to deploy and support solutions for data interchange and business process automation.
• Convert business requirements into technical DevOps instructions.
• Establish and manage best practice procedures in collaboration with DevOps engineers and developers.
• Develop technical documents to accurately represent the processes and procedures
• Oversee infrastructure to ensure optimal cost management.
• Manage client environments and schedule upgrades.
• Assist in process improvement and release management

Required Experience:

• Five years of experience in an IT environment
• Three to Five years of previous experience with release and change control management
• General IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, continuous integration, git, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking.)
• Demonstrated ability to create best practice documentation, outline workflows, and support knowledgebase.
• Experience in managing multiple client’s hosted applications preferably for data and workflow management, and file manipulations in different cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with issue tracking, change control, and release management (Atlassian tool suite: JIRA, Confluence)
