Job Description
Description:
To support at designated Recruiter and act as the point-of-contact in the absence of the Recruiter in order to provide an effective, proactive and responsive recruitment consultative services to hiring managers and administrators. Responsible for identifying qualified applicants/candidates from Region-wide applicant pool, assessing and evaluating listed qualifications for targeted vacancies and establishing initial contact for applicant prescreening and determining candidates interest in various managerial, professional, technical and health care support vacancies.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Establishes contact with viable candidates to determine qualifications and interest in available openings for their service areas.
  • Monitors and maintains the applicant pool files for assigned positions to facilitate the access and efficiency for applicant retrieval.
  • Refers qualified candidates to recruiter for further assessment.
  • Coordinates the placement of advertisement placements in appropriate newspaper/journal as directed by the assigned recruiter.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinates relocation information to potential new hires and ensures smooth and efficient processing of relocation package (to include car rental, travel, expenses, etc.).
  • Coordinates face-to-face interviews with viable walk in candidates.
  • Conducts applicant system query and assesses the applicants qualifications to identify viable candidates for vacancies.
  • Conducts telephone prescreening using appropriate interviewing techniques to determine if candidates meet the minimum requirements of the vacancy.
  • Provides back-up to the Administrative Specialist.
  • Creates applicant portfolios on the EExpress system when interested applicants telephone the Recruitment function directly.
  • Monitors and maintains integrity of assigned requisitions on EExpress system to ensure the recruitment activity is accurate on the reports.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related degree or three (3) years in an administrative support role related with a minimum of one (1) year Human Resources experience preferred.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:
  • Communication and interpersonal - Communicates daily with applicants, potential candidates and managers under very stressful conditions on a daily basis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as effective interpersonal skills and ability to interface at all management levels.
  • Attention to Detail - Ensures that applicant and requisition EEXpress system information is updated accordingly and timely and coordinates maintains recruiter interviewing schedule.
  • Integrates advertising placements with vendor and other advertising placements departments.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Computer Knowledge - Monitors and maintains requisitions and applicant data system in PC environment.
  • Coordinates the schedules of the recruiter and the candidates to meet at various locations throughout the Southern California Region.
  • Competencies: Organization - Communicates daily with multiple candidates and managers regarding the simultaneous recruitment of numerous vacancies.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and on to two years of PC computer experience.
