Come and join Discover as a full-time contractor reporting to the Sr Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations. The TA Operations team provides Discover’s recruitment teams with world class experiences to easily identify and hire top talent. We support positive candidate experiences, simplified processes, just-in-time training, and innovative technology solutions to procure the world’s best talent. The team supports five niche talent acquisition teams with numerous stakeholders across HR, IT, and the business. Your ability to build relationships and drive for results is critical in this role!
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for leading projects from the original concept through final implementation. There may be times when you will need to help execute the work with the project team. You will lead all aspects of a project including project planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, testing, implementation, and quality control. The biggest success will be the ability to have fun with your project teams while still driving to meet deadlines. You will be a key partner with the Sr Project Manager and Sr Manager of TA Operations. You will be able to ideate with key stakeholders to generate innovative ideas to solve process and technology issues. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues to leadership.
A few example projects include:
- Launching a centralized SharePoint documentation site to ensure consistency and updated documents across all teams.
- Automating the interview scheduling process by implementing a new technology solution while also streamlining our process across all of Talent Acquisition.
- Integrate job descriptions from a SharePoint repository into Workday Recruiting to simplify the Recruiter’s process to post a new opening.
Responsibilities
- Creates communication materials that provide timely, consistent, and accurate information. Educates and engages end-users.
- Evaluates processes and develops improvements to increase team efficiency.
- Leads collaboration with stakeholders through project meetings and shared data repositories. Ensures project requirements, progress, and results are understood by the project team.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards. Reviews project deliverables. Resolves issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met on time.
- Defines project scopes and objectives. Gathers project requirements. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of Project Management experience
- Previous experience in Talent Acquisition, Workday Recruiting, human centered design, and agile methodologies is preferred.
- If no Bachelor’s degree then at least 6 years of Project Management experience
