Job Description
Job Title: Quality Technician
Duration: 6 months + Possibility of extension
Location: Topeka, KS 66603
Shift: 7am - 3pm
Overtime and weekend work possible
Responsibilities
Preparing finished product and raw material samples to send out for external testing.
Collecting raw material samples for analytical testing
Filing paperwork
General housekeeping
Preparation of finished product and raw material samples for analytical testing
Supply inventory
Assisting with analytical testing: moisture, fat, protein, ash, mycotoxin, histamine, NIR analysis
Education
Bachelors in Biology/Molecular/Chemistry/Other Science Field
0-2 years experience
Would consider applicants that are currently a Jr/Sr in college and will graduate within 6 months-1year.
Dress Code: Jeans/close toed shoes/PPE will be provided
Preferred Skills
Proficient in Microsoft: Excel/Word/Power Point
Basic lab skills (pipetting, aseptic technique, washing lab ware, autoclaving, etc.)
ELISA
Wet chemistry sample preparation
Analytical chemistry instrumentation (ICP)
