If so, then look no further. API Delevan in East Aurora, NY is searching for a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team.
The Quality Inspector’s responsibilities include assisting with the development of quality systems, procedures, and quality controls to ensure that products consistently meet performance and quality specifications. The Quality Inspector is a strong technical resource who quickly, effectively, and permanently resolves quality problems.
U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required due to ITAR restrictions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Set up & operate various testing equipment.
- Perform receiving inspection using inspection equipment/software
- Coordinate with production control and operations to obtain test parts and to ensure compliance with lab delivery schedules
- Support multiple testing projects simultaneously
- Review & understand customer test requirements.
- Support quality aspects of new process controls with cross functional teams
- Perform and document results of life testing
- Perform final pre-cap inspections
- Perform and interpret test results
- Independent preparation of customer test reports
- Perform 1st article inspections, PPAPs, etc.
- Assist in QPL/DLA maintenance reporting
- Support quality team in setting lab priorities and day to day operation, including preparation & maintenance of schedules to meet OTD for lab tests/requirements
- Operate real time x-ray operation
- May be required to work occasional overtime
- May assist with equipment audits & calibrations
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Must have experience with computers & be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with various test/lab equipment
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality System requirements a plus
- High School education or GED equivalent; Technical Associates Degree preferred
- Must have good eyesight and hand eye coordination
- Must possess a basic understanding of electricity and electrical quantities, such as current, voltage, etc.
- Must have demonstrated ability to solder; soldering certification preferred
