Property Accountant (Remote) Jobs

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading real estate development and investment firm in the US. They have over $1B in residential and commercial assets in across the country with plans to continue expanding. This is a highly visible position that will work closely with senior leadership.

**Must be open to travel to NYC office 2-3x per month**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interface with management for assumptions, preparing budgets, inputting budget via journal entry into accounting software
• Prepare detailed quarterly and year end supporting work-papers
• Prepare general ledger account analyses and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and monthly variance analysis
• Ad hoc duties as assigned
• Perform monthly and annual closings, including preparation of the monthly owner's report
• Receivables & Payables: Track incoming rent and outgoing expenses, ensuring all tenants have paid rent on time, invoice late fees, bill backs, etc. Enter invoices into accounting systems (Yardi), cut check, and associated reports related to A/R and A/P.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Ideal candidate will have 4+ years of real estate accounting experience
• Experience with Yardi or similar software is a PLUS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
