Job Description

Several positions available as this national commercial real estate firm expands their accounting team. Enjoy a hybrid schedule!


Responsibilities


  • Monitor property bank account balances and calculate monthly owner distributions
  • Enter accrual and cash journal entries
  • Communicate effectively with clients, internal and external auditors, tax professionals and team members
  • Review all tenant billings and adjustments according to information provided by the Property Manager
  • Calculate and file sales tax
  • Maintain copies of monthly financial reporting packages, bank statements and reconciliations in OneSpace
  • Ensure timely payment of mortgages and property taxes
  • Assist in review of prior year CAM, real estate tax escalation reconciliations and answer questions from auditors
  • Review financial statements and monthly reports; submit financial reports to accounting
  • Prepare escalation and payable reviews
  • Review operating statements and variance reports


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent fee-based property management accounting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Adobe
  • Experience utilizing real estate accounting software, preferably MRI and/or Yardi
  • Working knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to apply GAAP
