Project Storm Manager Jobs

Job Summary:

The Storm Project Manager will be responsible for organizing, managing, planning and supporting the Operations Manager for all storm events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience and time constraints.
• Oversees the Storm Project Coordinator to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
• Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
• Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
• Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
• Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
• Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
• Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project.

Education and Experience:

• At least five years of experience in Project Management.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel for storm events.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• 30-50% travel required.
