Job Description
CellarTracker is the world’s most authoritative, engaged, and passionate wine community. Originally founded in 2003 as an inventory management tool for wine collectors, CellarTracker has since expanded its mission to help anyone discover and experience wine they love. Across our website and mobile app, CellarTracker now has over 800k registered users, 9.5 million reviews, and 3.9 million unique wines. In the past two years, the team has grown from 5 to 20.
We are looking for a product manager to own growth. Your first focus will be increasing revenue growth by launching premium features to the website and modernizing our subscription mechanics. Next, you will develop and drive a roadmap for outcomes like increasing new user acquisition, converting existing users to paid subscribers, and increasing the lifetime value of paid subscribers. In this role, you will contribute to product leadership and strategy as well as get in the weeds with the development team to ship great product.
You must have intrinsic motivation to create a great product. You believe that listening to users is the best way to create a great product. You combine user feedback, business goals, and data into well thought-through product initiatives. You also believe building a great team is a pre-requisite to creating a great product. You foster collaboration and an outcome-first mindset. You have high empathy with others and build strong, trusting relationships with your teammates and stakeholders.
You will have the autonomy, empowerment, and support to make a big impact and lead as you see fit. As such, it is essential you excel at creating clarity from ambiguity, building urgency to continually ship product improvements, and fishing for yourself across product, design, engineering, analytics, and marketing.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver product features that address user needs and align with the company's goals.
  • Gather the evidence you need to make analytical, informed decisions by talking to/surveying customers, reviewing product usage data, and researching comps.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and analytics, to define requirements and launch high-quality products on time.
  • Drive the modernization of CellarTracker premium and subscription products via experimentation and iterative improvement.
  • Lead CellarTracker’s growth product strategy, goal setting, and roadmap.
  • Own company metrics relating to growth, including new user acquisition, subscription rate, and lifetime value.
  • Carry the voice of customer in every conversation, ensuring we build products that our customers love and value.
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to create alignment, coordinate dependencies, and remove obstacles.
Requirements
  • A curious, positive, and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a dynamic, open-ended environment.
  • Passion for wine and knowledge of the wine industry, including wine production, regions, and varietals.
  • Excel/Google Sheets skills required. Experience with SQL/Mixpanel/Google Analytics for data analysis is a big plus.
  • Strong product sense and high customer empathy with an ability to envision opportunities that address business and user needs, and tie that opportunity to the team’s goals
  • Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Previous analytics experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to help communicate learnings, analysis, and opportunities clearly to Design, Engineering, Analytics, and other stakeholders
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a consumer-facing web or mobile application environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Growth, preferably in a subscription-model business.
  • Broad technical expertise, including familiarity with web front end, web services, and back-end application infrastructure
Benefits
  • Flexible, remote workplace
  • 401k
  • Standard health benefits
  • Unlimited vacation
