Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Procurement Senior Manager based out of Denver, CO.

Responsibilities


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Performs more advanced to complex tasks within a particular field.
  • Prepare requests for quotations, analyze quotes received, selects vendors and subcontractors, schedule and expedites deliveries and follows up on invoices received.
  • Act as a resource for computer system entry for procurement personnel
  • Act as a resource for procurement personnel on how to package request for proposals (RFP), distribute, receive, evaluate and make award.
  • Set up procurement program on recently awarded contract with the United States Army Corp of Engineer and private clients including assuring proper documentation is obtained, internal system for requesting procurements, and developing required out reaches.
  • Formulate the necessary documentation for adequate controls to meet Cost Accounting Standards for subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Work with legal, financial, engineering and estimating personnel in managing contracts being issued by company.
  • This level is viewed as management within the scope of the position.
  • Formulate and compile a variety of contracting package types
  • Able to use computer system to enter agreements and approve payments.
  • Perform, document and report small and disadvantaged business out reaches for projects and business unit.
  • Administering these contracting packages during execution, including formation of the necessary documentation for adequate contract control.


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree + 10 years of related experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in taking concepts and turn into actual process that produce useful results
  • Experience in computerized procurement systems
  • FARs (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) experience
  • Have managed a staff not centrally located.
  • Previous heavy civil construction project experience
  • Experience in setting up procurement on recently awarded contracts with the United States Army Corp of Engineer and private clients.
  • Experience in purchasing goods or services using a formal procurement process acceptable to federal government
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.

The salary range for this position is between $140,000.00 - 180,000.00 per year depending on experience and/or education. This position is eligible to participate in company's annual bonus program.

These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
