Job Summary:
Kickstand, a global, full-service PR firm, is looking for an Account Coordinator to join its team in Boston. This position is great for recent college grads. Previous experience (full time or internship) is a strong plus, but not required.

Successful Account Coordinators are eager to learn and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time position based in Boston, MA and candidates that apply should be based in the Boston area as well.
Account Coordinator responsibilities include:
Client Relations & Account Support:
  • Creation of media lists and ownership of ensuring all media lists are kept fully up to date
  • Assist in the creation of client reports, including coverage reports detailing coverage and team activities
  • Assisting in the preparation of briefing materials for secured client interviews
  • Regular drafting of short and long-form content, including press releases
  • Ensure speed and accuracy across all client correspondence
  • Monitoring the media for breaking news; developing an understanding of the media landscape and applying that knowledge
  • Responding to client and inbound media requests
  • Support in identification of proactive coverage opportunities (ad hoc and ongoing)
  • Media relations support, including:
  • Draft and send agendas and action items for weekly client calls, working with account team to ensure accuracy of updates and details
  • Support multiple agency accounts, both consumer and B2B
  • Developing relationships with key media contacts
  • Attend and actively participate in client meetings
Team Support:
  • Participate in team brainstorms, as well as in training and planning sessions
  • Attend agency and industry events
  • Work with account leads on administrative tasks for the team
  • Help develop and grow a strong agency culture
Requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Interest in technology and ability to keep abreast of industry news and current affairs
  • Professional and approachable manner
  • Basic knowledge of print, broadcast and digital media
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Positive, constructive attitude
  • Polished and professional
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and stay organized
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Up to one year of PR experience (accepted but not required) -- internship experience is applicable!
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint necessary, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Undergraduate degree

Starting salary is $40,000 per year.
