Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with the recruitment process where necessary, including attending job fairs and on campus activities.
  • The P&C Coordinator is the first smiling face employees and applicants meet upon entering the People & Culture Office.
  • Organizes and supervises all employee recreation programs include holiday parties, children’s party, general meetings etc.
  • Coordinate arrival for new employees which includes uniform fitting, hotel reservation, training plan and orientation.
  • Works closely with chefs on the employee cafeteria experience (plan menu, organize cafeteria theme days and holidays, cafeteria design & cleanliness, etc)
  • Prepare all hotel bulletin boards and ensure information is updated
  • Provides support with the P&C department in employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to the rest of the management team.
  • This highly visible role also provides administrative support to the People & Culture (including Quality) team.
  • Coordinate and manage employee recognition programs
  • Act as resident manager for the MIT employees handing questions and issues that may arise.
  • Manages the employee’s arrival experience, coordinates, and liaises with various departments, the Quality Manager, and the new employee’s manager to ensure the highest level of the new employee experience is provided
  • Participate in appropriate initiatives to resolve any unsatisfactory pattern of employee turnover and look for areas of opportunity to increase retention.
  • This position assists with general employee and applicant inquiries, handles all incoming calls, provides employment verifications, processes a variety of reports, maintains all general employment files, and assists with a variety of employee events and initiatives in addition to other administrative duties.
