Job Description
Create a first-class experience for our refractive/SMILE candidates beginning at the initial point of contact to the scheduling of their surgery.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Coordinate the complete surgical experience and verify all required pre-op paperwork, equipment, and supplies according to established procedures.
  • Follow leads provided from marketing outreach, website inquiries, promotional events, and answering phone calls coming through the SMILE line.
  • Provide the necessary information to prepare the patient for what to expect when choosing Northwest Eye Surgeons for their eye surgery.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient and surgeon, facility, and staff.
  • Schedule surgeries for the Seattle Northgate ambulatory surgery center.
  • Inform the patient of financial options, payment protocol, and price estimations.
  • Provide refractive surgery counsel and promote to all eligible patients.
An ideal candidate will be patient-focused. We are looking to fill a full-time position located in our Seattle Northgate location.
Requirements
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and problem solving are required to perform this role
  • Minimum two-year Ophthalmology or medical clinic experience in surgery scheduling or patient services preferred
  • Must be willing to help in all areas, have flexibility, and effectively work in a team environment.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Basic knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the eye
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, G-Suite,Windows environment, and strong keyboarding skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication - for exemplary customer service.
