Position Highlights

• Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033
• Work environment: Surgical Tech will assist in Mother Baby Department and work cases such as cesarean section or cesarean section with bilateral tubal ligation. Average 10-15 cesarean sections per month
• Work hours: PRN - Shifts are from 0700 - 1900 and then followed by call from 1900 - 0700.

• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required in 30 days

• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices and ability to function in a fast-paced, changing environment.

In Addition to the required qualifications, a successful CST will

• Post-operatively follows proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies and equipment. Under supervision, assists RN circulator with post-operative duties.
• Assists as needed in coordinating patient care Peri-operatively and assumes responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
• Assists in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination in a manner which protects the patient from injury.
• Intra-operatively displays skills and behavior conducive to desirable outcome
