Nodejs / Typescript Software Engineer

DEX is a pre-seed startup composed of esports focused specialists who are building a data insights & analytics platform to provide a "smurf"-free intramural esports experience across the globe with our pre-built organization toolkit. Connecting athletes, organizations, league administrators, college and pro esports porgrams so that org admins can focus on build a cheat free and safe competitive culture.

We are looking for a back-end software engineer with curiosity, commitment, pride, respect, good communication skills and a focus on teamwork. We are a small team looking for an early invested founding developer. Solid computer science/engineering fundamentals are a must including data structures, algorithm writing skills and OOP concepts. You will work on building resilient APIs that automate back-end business processes for some exciting esports programs. At first, THIS IS NOT A PAID POSITION, but is equity based and will be compensated as any early founder would. We are hoping for someone with at least 10-15 hours a week available to assist in getting our MVP to market by end of year.

Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role (i.e. software, systems, architecture)
• Designing and building APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• Serverless Stack (SST)
• AWS Lambda Functions
• TypeScript
• Unit and Integration Testing
• NodeJS
• Integrating with 3rd Party APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• NoSQL and/or SQL database design and implementation

Should Have

• Experience architecting technical processes
• Experience documenting technical processes
• Passion in Gaming or eSports
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• Agile software development concepts and processes

Nice to Have

• Experience competing at intramural or professional level of eSports at either a local or digital level.
• Test Automation using Cucumber

• Nx Monorepo Experience
• Behavior Driven Development
