Middle Office Operations Analyst - Fixed Income Futures Trading - Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund

My client is a rapidly expanding, highly dynamic market leading multi-strategy Hedge Fund business with offices in London and New York City.

They are looking for an Operations Analyst within their Middle Office group to play a key role in the Operations of the Fixed Income business with a focus on the Futures market.

What You'll Do

Clearing & Reconciliation of Positions

• T+0 Clearing
• Facilitate the timely resolution of position and trade breaks
• T+1 Reconciliations

Life Cycle Event Management

• Facilitation of option expiry processes and other contractual obligations
• Compression and novation processing
• Corporate event and credit event processing

Process Improvement and Projects

• Enhancing knowledge through training and maintenance of team procedures and policies
• Completing event reviews and implementation of risk mitigation improvements
• New business initiatives: including setup of new instruments and products
• Process Improvements including technology enhancements

What You'll Need

• Sound understanding of trade execution, mechanics and analytics, front-to-back processes and market infrastructure.
• Sound understanding of financial markets and, specifically Fixed Income products with a focus on Futures.
• Experience in a Buy-side Middle Office or Trade Support function.
• Advanced excel and knowledge of VBA, SQL or other programming language is desirable but not essential.
• Sound understanding of operational risk and risk mitigation utilising technology, process and controls.
• Good problem solving capabilities, evidence of process improvement.
