Market Research Analyst Jobs

Overview: The Market Research Analyst (MRA) supports the Business Development (BD) organization in the development of a BD Pipeline, through the identification and qualification of new business development opportunities. The MRA assists in the creation of BD materials, analyzes industry trends and conducts competitive landscape research.

Responsibilities:

• Create Gate Reviews using a company template; collect data and provide high-level analysis of data, such as: opportunity/contract status, budget, current team composition, current and future technical requirements, contractual requirements, key personnel, procurement schedule, acquisition strategy and competitive landscape
• Assist with drafting business plans, presentations, reference material, proposal coordination materials and other documents as required
• Participate in Black Hat reviews by researching and collecting potential competitive data
• Work closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies
• Research opportunity-specific information to help company’s competitive posture
• Understand company’s core capabilities and customers, past and present
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients
• Identify new business partners for specified and unspecified opportunity pursuits
• Collect, organize and maintain information in the company’s central database
• Understand the company's vision, mission, goals and objectives
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, using industry standard and innovative research techniques

Requirements:

• PREFFERRED: Direct experience in the Federal IT market space
• Ability to work independently
• PREFERRED: Experience using industry and government databases and tools, such as GovWin, FPDS.gov, SAM.gov, Salesforce, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Adobe
• 3 years of work experience, of which 1 or more years was relevant work experience in business development or similar field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organization skills
