Toll Integrated Systems seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in performing repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment at our manufacturing plant in Emporia, Virginia.

What is the opportunity?

Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, buildings, and equipment in a manufacturing environment. On the job training will allow the mechanic to learn a high variety of maintenance skills.

What are the primary responsibilities?

• Perform light electrical such as replacing switches, sensors, motors, and lights.
• Assist in maintaining the facility and grounds, perform welding and metal fabrication, and perform repairs to trailers.
• Repair various machinery such as conveyors, saws, and assembly equipment.

Qualifications

Does this describe you?

• Proficiency in welding and mechanical fabrication preferred
• Willing to work overtime; and occasional weekends
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Experienced with preventative maintenance procedures
• Experience in general facilities maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated experience repairing industrial equipment
• Must be able to effectively read, write & understand verbal instructions in English
• Must be able to work outdoors in various climates
• Ability to interact with frontline production personnel to troubleshoot equipment & system issues
• Solid background in safety practices
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 50+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.)

Do you have these qualifications?

• Solid background in OSHA safety practices, equipment and controls
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial maintenance
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication
• Experience operating a wide variety of tools and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude
