Your role at Clorox:
The Crew Lead ensures the team meets on the floor to share information – review activities, upcoming changeovers, information from shift exchange, status of losses / quality issues from previous shift, priorities for each zone and any other information critical to employee safety and performance. The Crew Lead is responsible for understand how their line performance is a reflection on their team and the plant and how that relates to company strategy.
In this role, you will:
  • Housekeeping
  • Ensure ER issues are brought up to plant leadership
  • Ensure members adhere to Safety Training Protocols and Programs
  • CIL – Find and Fix abnormalities
  • Delegate assigned tasks (understand what to delegate)
  • Quality Notifications
  • Call for Assistance – Escalation Plan
  • Troubleshooting
    • Has been trained on use of TS Guide and scenario-based problems
    • Ensure TS guides are used and updated in a timely manner
    • Train zone operators on the use of TS guides
    • Coach zone operator
    • Ensure calls for assistance are made promptly
    • Understands when to make production recommendation
  • Coach zone operator
  • Coordination of Downtime activities
  • Understands when to make production recommendation
  • Ensure calls for assistance are made promptly
  • Trainer is using training modules with supporting documentation and links to drive one-right-way.
  • Review weekly Crewing and Production schedule with BULs to ensure line is capable
  • Train zone operators on the use of TS guides
  • Ensure environmental standards are being upheld
  • Quality Testing
  • Give performance feedback to BUL and underperforming operators.
  • Ensure work notifications are entered in the system and tracked
  • Support use of standard work documentation, i.e. changeover checklist, check changeover performance
  • Trainer ensures trainee is following road map that identifies skill block progression by week and is meeting adherence to schedule.
  • Managing Conflict, Coaching Others/Providing Feedback, Building Trust, Communicating and Listening
  • Centerline checks for major unit ops
  • Own Communication of plant activities, targets and events to their team
  • Participates in performance evaluations with team and trainee.
  • Initiate RFI Process when needed
  • Utilize “call for assistance”
  • Ensures Trainee checklist is completed.
  • Coordinates and tracks Skill Block Training development.
    • Ensures trainee is attaining specific skill blocks and Group Level Certifications.
    • Leads Training initiatives for Crewmembers to ensure they are capable of maintaining zone without assistance.
    • Participates in performance evaluations with team and trainee.
    • Ensures Trainee checklist is completed.

  • Strong commitment to the plant non-negotiables
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be willing to work overtime as needed. Workdays and schedule may change periodically according to business needs
  • Ability to travel as required for training and development Must be capable of working all zone on a production line and/or knowledge of Theory of Operations
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in order to respond appropriately to salary and hourly personnel
  • Skills and knowledge will be determined by means of hands-on demonstration and a formal interview
  • Starting Compensation: $35.51 plus $2 shift differential
  • Ability to properly tag events in LEDs
  • Must have or develop a high level of understanding of Progressive Maintenance
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
