Description

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking one (1) Lubrication Technician. This is an hourly position that is part of the Engineered Wood Products and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor at Evergreen manufacturing facility, located in Castleberry AL.


The primary function of the Lube Tech is to ensure effective lubrication and oil analysis of manufacturing equipment.


The starting wage for this role is $26.13/hr.


Key Functions:

  • Maintain auto lubrication lines, including plumbing and inspection for damaged or leaking fittings.
  • Use maintenance software for writing work orders and creating requisitions.
  • Conduct oil analysis (checking for metal fragments, moisture content and other contaminants).
  • Diagnose bearing and wear surface failure and set action plans to correct failures.
  • Work with other millwrights, leads or supervisors who have priority work needing to be completed.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards for all hydraulic units, pull oil samples semi-annually and document results.
  • Ensure that all equipment is lubricated to meet standards/specifications.
  • Immediately address all safety and housekeeping issues.
  • Manage an inventory of filters and repair/spare parts.
  • Other duties as assigned (mechanical/millwright).
  • Maintain all gearboxes to operating levels and notify Millwright Lead of any leaking seals or excessive noise.
  • Maintain all air compressors, air dryers, oil coolers / heat exchangers and manage oil analysis records as required.
  • Maintain lubrication cabinets, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Initiative to identify and resolve issues.
  • Resume must be uploaded to be considered for this position.
  • Ability to demonstrate open, honest, and regular exchange of information and treat all employees with respect and dignity.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a maintenance related position in an industrial / manufacturing environment
  • Must have excellent listening & communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new jobs & skills.
  • Must be team oriented; puts team's needs ahead of individual interests and work to develop trust and respect.
  • Commitment to actively promoting and exhibiting a caring safety culture
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects effectively.
